Eden SuperBowl

MIXED DIVISION:
Male and female competitors will bowl in one mixed division, and a bonus of 8 pins per game will be awarded to all female competitors throughout.

QUALIFYING ROUND:
12 games (two series of 6 games)
6-game re-entries (unlimited, subject to availability) will be possible in order to replace one of the initial two series. At least one of the initial two series must form part of the 12-game qualification total. Re-entry reservations will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to availability, and waiting lists will be formed for any extra reservations.

DESPERADO SQUAD:
1 game, immediately after the final qualifying squad (Squad H). Lanes will not be re-dressed for the Desperado Squad. There will be no practice time, and here will be no lane alternation i.e. Deperado bowlers will bowl all ten frames on the same lane.

QUALIFICATION:
24 Bowlers will qualify for the Final Stages as follows:Qualifying Round - Top 21 bowlers go through to the Final Stages as follows:

Positions 1 – 4 will automatically go through to Final Stage 3
Positions 5 - 8 will automatically go through to Final  Stage 2
Positions 9 - 21 will continue in Final Stage 1

Desperado Squad - Top 3 bowlers will qualify in positions 22-24 for Final Stage 1

FINAL STAGE 1:
16 bowlers (qualifying positions 9 - 24) will play 4 games from scratch. Top 8 will go through to Final Stage 2. Non-qualifiers from this stage shall be ranked 17th – 24th accordingly.

FINAL STAGE 2:
12 bowlers (qualifying positions 5 – 8, plus 8 from Final Stage 1) will play four games from scratch. Top 6 will go through to Final Stage 3. Non-qualifiers from this stage shall be ranked 11th – 16th accordingly.

FINAL STAGE 3:
10 bowlers (qualifying positions 1 - 4, plus 6 from Final Stage 2) will play a single Round Robin (9 games) from scratch. Apart from pinfall and ladies' game bonus, the following additional game bonuses will be awarded:
20 points per win
10 points per tie
5 points for games between 200 and 250
10 points for games of 251 and over
Top 4 will go through to Final Stage 4
Non-qualifiers from this stage shall be ranked 5th – 10th accordingly.

FINAL STAGE 4:
This will be a Stepladder Final stage as follows:
Match 1: 3rd Seed vs 4th Seed, one game
Match 2: 2nd Seed vs winner of Match 1, one game
Match 3: 1st Seed vs winner of Match 2, best of 3 games
The winner of Match 3 will be the 2012 Malta Open Champion.
