The SuperBowl is Malta’s only 20 lane facility, situated in the highly popular and lively St. George’s Bay. Sandwiched between the most luxurious hotels in Malta, St. George’s Bay is an upscale sea side area offering a variety of eateries as well as entertainment options.
The inaugural Malta Senior Open was held back in 1998, emulating the very popular Malta Open, and quickly grew into one of the most popular senior events on the international circuit. One of the main attractions was the friendly and welcoming atmosphere the tournament brought with it, as well as the superb organization on the part of the Eden SuperBowl team. The social side to the tournament is another part of the whole experience which is not to be missed, with many friends using the Malta Senior Open as an excuse for an annual reunion.
Those important factors have held fast through 12 editions of the Malta Senior Open, bringing people back year after year. We’re now looking forward to hosting you this October for number 13, which we know will be another fantastic few days for us all. The 2009 edition saw some format changes which proved very popular with our bowlers and are also in place for 2010. While the greatly preferred 12-game qualification remains, as do the separate male and female divisions, and usual age bonus system, now you get the chance to replace your low 6-game series with a re-entry. There is no limit to the number of re-entries you play, although of course they are subject to availability.

The Eden SuperBowl is just off the beautiful sandy beach at the idyllic St. George’s Bay, the only beach in the Maltese islands to have achieved the prestigious international ‘blue flag’ status. Part of the beach is managed by the luxurious InterContinental hotel which is right on the SuperBowl’s doorstep.
